Systeme.io Review 2026: Is the Free Plan Really Enough?
Systeme.io's free plan limits, paid plans from $17/mo, the $10,000 sales cap and who should upgrade. A research-based review with alternatives.
Yes, for a start. Systeme.io's free plan covers 2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels, 1 course, 1 blog and 1 custom domain, with unlimited email sends and no end date. That's enough to launch a lead magnet, sell a first digital product and build a small list. You'll outgrow it once you pass 2,000 contacts, need more than one automation rule, or cross $10,000 in total sales.
Systeme.io is an all-in-one platform for funnels, email marketing, online courses, a blog, a community and an affiliate program. Paid plans cost $17, $47 and $97 a month. The pitch is that one account replaces four or five separate tools, and for small creators that pitch mostly holds up.

Short verdict
Systeme.io is a good first platform for coaches, course creators and solo founders who sell digital products. The free plan is real, not a 14-day trial, and the paid plans are cheap next to ClickFunnels or Kajabi. It charges 0% transaction fees on every plan.
The trade-offs: page designs look plain unless you put in work, the free plan's single automation rule is tight, and you can't move funnels out to another platform. Designers who care about every pixel will want a separate site builder for the main website.

Prices and limits from systeme.io/pricing, November 2026. Paying yearly gives you 2 months free. Every plan includes 0% transaction fees and unlimited sub-accounts, and each sub-account gets the same limits as your plan.
Plans are mostly sized by contacts. If your list is under 2,000, the free plan may be all you need. At 2,000 to 5,000 contacts, Startup at $17 is the next step.
What the free plan includes
The free plan has no time limit and doesn't need a card. As of November 2026, Systeme.io lists:
- 2,000 contacts and unlimited email sends.
- 3 sales funnels, such as an opt-in page, a sales page and a checkout.
- 1 course with up to 500 students.
- 1 blog and 1 custom domain.
- 1 affiliate program, so others can sell your product for a commission.
- 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign.
That's a working setup for one offer: a free guide to collect emails, a short welcome email and a paid course.
The free plan's real limits
The headline numbers are generous. These are the ones that bite:
One automation rule. A rule is something like "when someone signs up, add a tag" or "when someone buys, enroll them in the course". Most simple sales flows need two or three. This is the limit that pushes most people to Startup.
One email campaign. You can send unlimited emails, but the free plan limits campaigns, so a proper welcome sequence plus a launch sequence won't fit.
A $10,000 sales cap. The free plan processes up to $10,000 in total sales. When you reach it, you have 3 days to upgrade to keep taking payments. That's a good problem to have, but plan for it before a launch.
Inactivity rule. Free accounts with no login or activity for 6 months are deactivated. If you set up a funnel and forget it, it can stop working.
Going over a limit. Systeme.io sends a warning email each day for 3 days. On the free plan, if nothing changes by day 4, the account is restricted: opt-in forms and payments stop, and students lose course access. Nothing is deleted, and access returns once you upgrade or get back within limits. On paid plans, the account upgrades itself to the next plan instead.
Features in short
- Funnels and pages. Drag-and-drop pages with order bumps, 1-click upsells, coupon codes, A/B tests and deadline funnels.
- Email marketing. Newsletters, campaigns, tags and automation rules, with unlimited sends.
- Courses and communities. Host video courses and run a members' community.
- Blog and website. A simple blog and website on your own domain.
- Payments. Connect Stripe or PayPal, plus regional processors such as Razorpay, Mercado Pago and Flutterwave. Systeme.io takes 0%, your processor still charges its fee.
- Affiliate program. Let customers promote your products and track commissions.
- Bookings. A booking calendar with Google Calendar, Google Meet and Zoom integrations.
Systeme.io vs separate tools
Systeme.io's own FAQ compares it with a stack of ClickFunnels ($97/mo), Mailchimp ($20/mo), Teachable ($39/mo) and Tapfiliate ($89/mo), which adds up to $245 a month. That's Systeme.io's math as of October 2026, so treat it as a sales argument. The general point stands: for a solo creator, one $17 account costs less than four subscriptions and has fewer things to connect.
Separate tools still win in two cases. If email is your main product, a dedicated platform gives you better deliverability tools, newsletter growth features and analytics. See our Kit vs beehiiv vs MailerLite comparison. And if your brand needs a distinctive website, a design-first builder does that job better. I build those sites in Framer and connect forms to an email tool.

Who should use it, and who shouldn't
Good fit: a coach selling a $49 course, a creator building a list with a free PDF, a consultant who wants a booking page and a newsletter in one place, or anyone testing an offer before paying for bigger tools.
Poor fit: a store with hundreds of physical products, a brand that needs a custom-designed site, or a newsletter business that lives on email analytics.
Alternatives
- Kit for creators whose main asset is the email list.
- MailerLite for cheap email with simple landing pages.
- Podia for courses and digital downloads with a cleaner storefront.
- Stan for a link-in-bio store sold mainly through social media.
- Gumroad for selling a single digital product with no setup.

FAQ
Is Systeme.io really free?
Yes. Systeme.io's free plan has no end date and doesn't need a credit card. As of November 2026 it includes 2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels, 1 course with up to 500 students, 1 blog, 1 custom domain and unlimited email sends. Free accounts with no login or activity for 6 months are deactivated.
What are the limits of the Systeme.io free plan?
The free plan allows 2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels, 1 course, 1 blog, 1 custom domain, 1 affiliate program, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign. It processes up to $10,000 in total sales. After that, you have 3 days to upgrade to keep accepting payments, as of November 2026.
How much does Systeme.io cost?
Systeme.io has four plans as of November 2026: Free at $0, Startup at $17 a month, Webinar at $47 and Unlimited at $97. Plans are sized mainly by contacts: 2,000, 5,000, 10,000 and unlimited. Paying yearly gives you 2 months free, and every plan has 0% transaction fees.
Does Systeme.io take a cut of my sales?
No. Systeme.io charges 0% transaction fees on every plan, including Free. You connect your own Stripe, PayPal or a regional processor, and that processor charges its usual card fees. The free plan has a separate cap of $10,000 in total sales, after which you need to upgrade within 3 days.
What happens if I go over a Systeme.io plan limit?
You get a warning email each day for 3 days. On a paid plan, the account then upgrades to the next plan automatically. On the free plan, the account is restricted: opt-in forms and payments stop, and students lose course access. Nothing is deleted, and access returns once you upgrade or remove the extra items.
Is Systeme.io good for building a website?
Systeme.io can run a simple website and blog on your own domain, which suits coaches and course creators. Its templates look plain next to Squarespace or Framer, so brands that need a distinctive design often use a separate site builder for the main website and Systeme.io for funnels, email and courses.
Bottom line
The free plan is enough to launch one offer, collect your first 2,000 contacts and make your first $10,000. Most active sellers move to Startup at $17 a month for the extra automation rules, which is still cheap for what's included. Start free, build one funnel, and upgrade when the limits start costing you sales.
